Has not attained his noon. Stay, stay, Until the hast'ning day
Has run, But to the even-song ! And having prayed together, we Will go with you along.
Herrick. - To Daffodils."
Freeze, freeze, thou bitter sky, Thou dost not bite so nigh
As benefits forgot; Though thou the waters warp, Thy sting is not so sharp
As friends reroember'6' not. Heigh ho ! sing heigh ho ! unto the green holly, Most friendship is feigning, most loving mere folly; Then heigh ho ! the holly ! This life is most jolly.

The time I've lost in wooing, In watching and pursuing
The light that lies
In woman's eyes, Has been my heart's undoing. Tho' wisdom oft has sought me, I scorned the love she brought me.
My only books
Were woman's looks, And folly's all they taught me.
